Reflection: Weeks 1 & 2”
o What was covered in class over the past two weeks? In class over the past two weeks we have covered various topics. In the first week of class we reviewed a PowerPoint of pictures taken by Dr. V from Washington D.C. A couple of the photos were from the botanical gardens in Washington, along with the photos were quotes from famous individuals throughout the history of the United States. These quotes were related to were environmentally base. In addition to the slide show we review general outline of the class as well as had the choice to pick what grade we would like to work for in the course. I felt that choosing your own grade and working for it, was very unique, I have never had a class like this prior and really think that the online format as well as choosing your own grade were awesome highlights of this course. o What you learned about yourself, environment, blogging, etc.Throughout the blogging experience so far I have really enjoyed (although struggling with some aspects!) designing the layout, adding photos, and adding gadgets. It has helped me to express myself and learn about "Blogger." When working with blogger I have actually learned about the environment because you have the option to add gadgets to your blog that specifically take about, give facts, quotes etc. about the environment and environmental issues. I believe that this is going to be an experience for our class to grow and learn together, we have the space to talk, voice our opinions, and share fun facts and ideas all in a way that is causing little to no harm to our environment!:) o Does it follow blogging etiquette?I believe that the blog I have created it pleasant, appropriate, and green! I feel that keeping my blog classy, friendly and always following blogging etiquette will help to keep this class on the right track and increase our learning! I am looking forward to this experience and think it will be a great way to interact with our classmates and keep it green!:) AbbeyE
Hey! I agree with you when you said that you believe this will be an experience for our class to grow and learn together. I think a lot of people are struggling, so if we work together we can do it! :) You're blog looks great! Good job! I really like those pictures from Seven Bridges Road too!
ReplyDeleteAbbey,
ReplyDeleteI also think working with blogger helps you learn about the environment. The gadgets they offer are really cool! Also going along with what Autumn said, your pictures from Seven Bridges Road are beautiful. They are very "earthy" and "green." It adds a nice touch to your already visually appealing blog =) Good job.
I also agree with you and Ben that blogger helps us learn about the environment with the cool gadgets that we can add...I myself have learned some cool stuff from them!! Even just doing this blogging online is saving on paper which in turns saves the trees which is needed for the cleaning the polluted air...and so and so...you get the picture! I think we will be able to take a lot from this class that we can use in our everyday lives!! And also help us become environmental friendly!!
ReplyDeleteAbbey- I enjoyed the picture at the top of this post. It is very pretty. You were so lucky to experience environments all over the world!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post on the last couple of weeks of class. It was very organized (just like you) and talked about a couple of things that most people didn't mention such as the photo slide show and contracting for a grade.
I agree with you when you say that blogger is helping us to learn more about the environment just by reading each others little environmentally friendly gadgets we choose to add to our profiles. This is a very sophisticated website. I can't wait to read more on your experiences in this class and see more of your beautiful photos!! --S
Just so you remember when you are working on your blog tonight...
ReplyDeletepixel sizes for your header are 740 x 274!! =) good luck!! --S
Love the header, avatar, and seven bridges photos! The Green Tips gadget is also cool! I enjoyed your reflection and know that you will do wonderfully with the blog!
