Oh my goodness... This website is eye opening needless to say....
I choose to review a product near and dear to my heart .... my face moisturizer(the next best thing to my aromatherapy linen spray, and lotion! check it out at Bath & Body Works they have it for men also! they were not on the review I tried! sorry) . It is a product develop and sold my Mary Kay. The brand is "Velocity", and I love it, but I had no idea that it would receive such a negative review.... it got an 8 yes an eight! Yikes, but then I started thinking well I've been using this for a long time, and then my judgmentalness came out and I thought who's writing this, is it reliable, I love my face lotion. Well, according to the website my face lotion at a high hazard for cancer causing, allergies, and may not meet requirements for safty.... man o man this is sad and scary. The review included this long laundry list of ingredients....

My thoughts are that I should regretfully consider switching products.....I do love my face, and as much as I love my lotion ..... I do indeed love my face more. This website makes me ponder, that fresh clean feeling of my lovely lotion or my health..... hummmm? Although, the resources listed by the website seemed credible I'm still stubborn. It's really making me think......

Abbey- I felt the same way when I got the results of my product. I also used to use Velocity Facial Moisturizer, but then I decided to switch to Clean and Clear because I couldn't always get my velocity in a timely manner. My suggestion to you is: go to the travel aisle at target or something and see if there are any travel sized moisturizers that you could try? You wouldn't waste too much money finding a new product that works and is better for the environment/you your health!! --S

ReplyDeleteThe title of this post made me laugh. I really hope your face doesn't fall off... I don't think it will though :) I used to use Velocity too, good thing I don't really anymore since it got a rating of 8!! Geeeez. At least your skin stays soft? haha, have to be optimistic right?

ReplyDeleteAbbey~ That is crazy i used to use this same product but my skin just did not agree with and now I can see why!! I think we need to do some searching for some better products!!
ReplyDeletehahahahaha....Abbey, I hope you love your face more than you lotion =D I'm sorry the product you love so much is so "hazardous?!" I don't think your face will fall off, and at least the first ingredient is water! So, don't be too sad...and from the looks of it, this product works well because your skin never looks dry!!
